National Convention on Quality Concepts 2014

28th National Convention on Quality Concepts was organised at Pune from 19th to 22nd December 2014 at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering, Pune.In the convention Shri Shishir Joshipura, MD SKF Ltd.,was the Chief Guest.  Shri Harshvardhan Patil, Ex. Minister Maharashtra Government and Shri Rajendra Gandhi MD GRP Limited were   Guests of Honours.

On this occasion Dr  A K Mittal, Chairman QCFI,   welcomed Chief Guest and Guests of Honours and saplings were presented to them by Shri D K Srivastava, Shri S J Kalokhe, Shri B Balakrishnan. Dr Mittal also welcomed all the Team members, delegates and trustees of PCCOE and governing council members from QCFI chapters.

After that Chief Guest and Guests of Honours lighted the lamp to inaugurate the NCQC which was followed by a welcome dance.

Shri D K Srivastava, ED QCFI briefed about the activities scheduled during convention. Shri Srivastava thanked PCCOE management for providing premises for organising convention and also for support by College Professors, students and staff in organising various activities. On this occasion college trustees Shri D. P. Landge, Shri V. S. Kalbhor, Shri S. D. Garade, Shri Harshwardhan S. Patil, Shri Bhaijan Kazi and Smt. Padmatai Bhosale,Shri Wagmodesaheb, Prof G M Desai, Smt Bharti Pharande and Shri Raju Misal were felicitated by QCFI Directors.

Shri Vijay Asar introduced Guest of Honour Shri Rajendra Gandhi. He presented Appreciation Awards to QCFI Chapters for Membership Growth and Sale of Publication. Shri Kalokhe presented a memento to Shri Gandhi.

Dr Fulambarkar introduced Guest of Honour Shri Harshvardhan Patil. He presented awards to chapters for year 2014:

Mumbai – 2^nd Best Chapter, Best Promotional Programme, Highest Participation in CCQC

Madurai & Coimbatore Sub Chapter – Best Chapter

Shri S J Khalokhe introduced Chief Guest Shri Joshipura. Shri Joshipura shared his experiences and wished all the team to do the best. He said today total employee involvement is the key to success for sustaining the Quality Concepts. QCFI Awards for 2014 to following organisations and individuals were given by Shri Joshipura

As we know Champions are not supernatural. They just fight one more second when all else quit. Sometimes one more second of effort gives you victory. QCFI felicitated Mrs Lila F Poonawalla who was presented Lifetime Achievement Award. Citation was read by Shri Kalokhe and award was presented by Dr Mittal.

Before Cultural Programme and Welcome Dinner Dr Rajani Indulkar, VC-Host Chapter thanked Guests, PCCOE Trustees, Management and Staff.

1211 case studies were presented in fifty parallel sessions during the  National Convention.   Apart from Quality Circles Case studies 69 LQC and 249 Allied Concepts case studies were presented.

A Model Exhibition too was organised where teams displayed their models Best 20 models were be awarded on Dec 21st 2014.

QCFI Delhi Chapter successfully conducted Knowledge Test on 20th Dec.
